TO YODEL OR NOT TO YODEL
OK, WHAT ?
We were held hostage for the entire show with clear crisp vocals and engaging harmonies.
Curbside Bandit is a new project as of the summer (2011) with Whitney Hicks and Dennis Miller forming together their material while creating new and much more to come! Later on after a year of gigging out as a duo they found a steady rocking rhythm section in Joe mazzuca and Stuart Pickering! “We like to create the new while keeping the old roots of music”!
Dennis Miller guitar/keys/vox , Whitney Hicks Vox/keys/tambo, Joe Mazzuca Bass, Stuart Pickering Drums/percussion
Yodeling, when done right is impressive, gets your attention, and engages the audience.
I would humbly suggest you add a couple more songs , or write some new ones with yodeling front and center.
It may not be for everybody, but for those of us who grew up with all sorts of musical influences around us, we respect music done well, no matter what the genre.
Whitney’s dad says the origins of her singing began with “ Animainiacs “
If you have seen it, then you remember “DOT” A diva to be sure, although the rest of the gang spent most of their time helping to keep her humble.
Whitney is not a dive, but I think she inherited “dots clean crisp vocals “ and a sense of fun that will keep her singing fresh, no matter what project she is engaged in.
OK I digress,
wherever this gang of four goes in the future, it will be well worth following them, like em, fan em, and see what happens.
